Germanic Studies assistant professor Kyle Frackman joined Ira in studio this week to talk about his interests, research and what his dream class to teach at UBC would be.

Born in Anchorage, Alaska, Frackman says German and Nordic culture always held a certain allure for him. First interested in the languages, he went on to study history, film and literature and was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to further his studies in Hamburg. His research in recent years has focused on East Germany – more specifically, the social evolution and awareness of gender and sexuality. Catch Ira’s interview with Professor Frackman for more!
